“ After finishing touring the Battle of Hastings (Battle Abbey), this is a good place to have afternoon tea. The tea and scones taste amazing! I ordered English breakfast tea and scones. It was very good that I had to get seconds for both English breakfast tea and scones. The staff are very friendly. Sitting on the patio tables while drinking tea and eating scones makes you feel relax and enjoy the outdoors. No rushing just enjoy the view. ”

“ Loved this place when we visited Battle. Loads of seating inside and out, rustic and friendly. The Scones are to die for! Made on sight by the elderly team running the Restaurant and Tearoom. Nothing is too much trouble, fabulous service. We bought more scones to take home, but you buy the whole caboodle, take home jam and cream with them. Awesome detailing! Recommended for snacks, the Paninis are excellent I'm told by my partner. ”

The menu had plenty to choose from along with a daily specials board giving something for everyone. The food was served extremely fresh with great presentation, served hot giving value for money. The drinks available were vast but stuck with coffee which was (& I’m picky) the best black coffee I’ve had in a restaurant for a long while. ”
